Christmas would not be complete without the obligatory new toy construction project. D had the privilege of being the "project manager." Timothy is in a Knight and Pirate phase (I don't know why or how or if those are at all related, but he loves everything concerning these 2 topics). Since it is easier to purchase a toy castle vs. a toy pirate ship, Timothy received a very cool and big castle that had "some assembly required."
Being the good uncle he is, D gave Timothy jobs he could handle so that he could help with castle construction. Chris pitched in too, and it proved to be quite the male bonding moment.
Timothy, naturally, LOVED it and had us all playing along with him as soon as it was completed. By the end of the day, Chris was considering gluing it all together given its propensity to fall apart when touched a little too much, which means all the time when it is owned and loved by a 3 year old! Good times.
