My family has always celebrated Christmas on Christmas Day, which worked well this year so that we could enjoy the festivities with Dany's family and then also have a smaller, more intimate time with the boys. We got up earlyish (Chris and Dany, as the parents of toddlers, treasure the sleep they can get) and marched over with our presents in tow. With the red jacket D looks like santa himself.
D wanted to be comfortable and casual for our morning adventures, and it looks like Timothy had the same idea. I just loved that their outfit choices matched so closely. (It is hard to pick which one is more adorable!)
Timothy is in a pirate and knight phase - he loves all things involving these two topics. Here he is opening a present from his Aunt Susie, the DK Eyewitness book on Knights. D and I enjoyed reading bits and pieces of it to Timothy. The pics are awesome and entertain children and adults alike. Great history too, so it was a double bonus for me.
David enjoyed his gifts too. As you can see, Timothy was happy to help his brother: open presents, play with presents, etc. Ah, sibling love. Let the rivalries begin.
This gift is for Timothy but since he was occupied with his last present, his big brother helped me open it and show it off for the oohs and aahs.
