Fair-y Tales

At the recommendation of a friend, we took a Saturday trip to the town of Ath for their annual UNESCO-world-heritage-certified festival of giants. The town is quaint and picturesque, the main square filled with fair attractions and vendors for the celebration.

We purchased a "necklace" with the town colors of purple, white and yellow (modeled here beautifully by J) and walked the streets with the crowd.  The waffles were in huge supply, as were other fair food favorites, such as frankfurters, hamburgers, and, for the true francophiles,  escargots.
